What? Why? How?
Planter Box is a non for profit that can supply and install a planter box (raised garden bed) with organic soil, compost, fruits, vegetables and herbs on your property and the nature strip outside of your home.
We help you with every step of the process from submitting a permit on your behalf to teaching you how to grow and maintain your crops.
So you, and your community, can have access to fresh, organic, affordable, nutrient rich food which is free of poisonous chemicals. We are changing the culture around how food is grown not only to benefit your health but to also heal the planet by decreasing poisonous pesticides entering the soil, and decreasing pollution from the food delivery process.

STEP 1
Sign up to be a part of the Planter Box Project by clicking here.
We will apply for a permit with your local council to have a planter box installed on your nature strip.

STEP 2
Once your permit is approved we will organize a time to install the planter box and give you a quick training session on how to plant and maintain your fruits and vegetables. We will supply the initial soil and crops.
There is a small fee to have the planter box supplied and installed. Keep in mind that planter box is a non for profit and open source project so we work hard on making it as affordable for everyone.

STEP 3
Download and log into the Planter Box app to register your planter box. Once one of your crops is ready to harvest simply open the app and enter what is available.
Depending on what other crops are available in the area, recipes will be unlocked via the app and your community will be able to select a recipe and be given a map of where to walk to collect the ingredients.

STEP 4
Once the crop is gone open the app and delete your crop.

STEP 5
Plant your seeds or sprouts. You can source your own seeds/sprouts or you can order seeds online by clicking here.
